Creating the agentic back office with Claude for Forge

Challenge
- Forge's operational data spread across disconnected systems of record, making invoicing especially painful given multiple billable components split across different entities
- Since late 2025, Forge has been building a unified system of record with Claude, with the goal of extending it to run all back-office functions
- The end state: a fully agentic system of record with no manual touches, giving each Forge employee their own editable dashboard to manage their workflows
Solution
- Proxet partnered with Forge to redesign its core business processes with Claude — building a solution that is both powered by Claude and managed by Claude
- Proxet engineers help Forge teams record existing workflows (screen activity, code, and process steps) using a mix of AI tools, then feed that data to Claude for comparative analysis and edge-case discovery
- Claude analyzes the workflow alongside systems of record, PDFs, and email threads, then produces a presentation of identified edge cases for the team to review together
- After each discussion, Claude studies the transcript and revises its workflow logic to incorporate the edge cases the team surfaced
- Once finalized, Claude and Slack workflows take full ownership of executing the business process
- Proxet and Forge are repeating this pattern process by process — starting with invoicing and expanding to payroll and beyond
Outcome
- Claude maps and formalizes business processes 8x faster than a manual approach, saving a minimum of 65–90 hours per process
- Invoice workflows alone have saved Forge over 230 hours since June, running end-to-end through Claude
- Back-office pain points are being systematically removed, freeing employees to focus on judgment work and reporting rather than manual processing
- Invoice processing is live in production today, with a roadmap to bring all back-office functions online by mid-2027
- Human involvement is now reserved for edge-case determination and key review checkpoints — not routine execution
